Ballet & Lyrical

Ballet/ Lyrical teaches a combination of skills and terminology used in beginner ballet and jazz classes. Grace and fluidity of movement are prioritized, in addition to proper body alignment, center of balance, and beginning turns, jumps, and floor work.

Ballet & Tap

The goal of our dance program is to instill a love of dance. Our youngest dancers learn basic ballet and tap movements in a positive and fun environment. Proper technique is taught through creative dances and imagination. Each class starts with ballet and transitions to tap. These 45-minute structured classes are grouped by ages. As dancers’ journey through this comprehensive curriculum, they grow in developmentally appropriate skills.

Broadway Babies

Our Broadways Babies dance class is designed to help your child develop social, motor, and cognitive skills throughout their toddler years. This class is available to children ages 18-36 months. The class is introduced with mom, dad or caregivers participating with their dancer. As the year progresses, adults may slowly filter out of the classroom. Each 30 minute class is thoughtfully designed to cater to your toddler’s short attention span. Along with the support of you right by their side, your dancer will have time to explore and have fun!

Contemporary & Modern

Contemporary & Modern dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

Jazz & Ballet

In ballet, students will learn basic techniques and terminology such as the 5 basic ballet positions, how to use a bar, and good ballet posture. While pre-ballet is not as rigid and structured as later ballet classes, it does introduce many early concepts of disciplined dance that will support later ballet progress. Ballet offers a fun and engaging introduction to ballet that helps young children develop a genuine passion for dance. The class will focus on basic jazz positions, turns, jumps, and leaps. Students will also learn center and loco motor progressions as well as proper stretching techniques to enhance strength and flexibility.

Irish Tap

Irish dance or Irish dancing is traditional Gaelic or Celtic dance forms that originated in Ireland. It is performed traditionally with intricate foot work and is most known for the dancers performing with a stiff upper body.

Jazz & Tap

Jazz is the most popular dance form among dancers. Its movements are big, exaggerated, and there is typically an attitude the dancer wants to convey to the audience. Jazz emphasizes isolation, which is moving one part of the body such as the head, shoulder, or pelvis, while the rest of the body is still. It also emphasizes suspension, which is moving through a position rather than balancing. It is fast paced. This class is designed to introduce jazz technique, focusing on basic jazz positions, turns, jumps, and leaps. Students will also learn center and loco motor progressions as well as proper stretching techniques to enhance strength and flexibility. Basic Jazz dance terminology is discussed as well as stage directions, center and across the floor techniques, and short choreographed combinations. Tap is a syncopated dance style that is exhilarating and great fun! Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound with an emphasis on clear tap sounds and showmanship.

Hip Hop

Class focuses on the fundamentals of hip-hop including popping, locking and break dancing. Dancers will start with a warm-up in the center, progress through isolation and continue by working on coordination and technique. Teachers focus on incorporating rhythmic qualities of music into the dancers’ body.
